To assist with an abundance of mechanical engineering work we are seeking an experienced, innovative Senior Mechanical Engineer to be based from our Eastern Bay of Plenty office, in Kawerau.

Key requirements for this role include:

  • A Washington Accord (or equivalent) qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • Registration as a Chartered Professional Engineer in New Zealand
  • Senior level mechanical engineering experience with experience in Pulp and Paper, Food and Beverage and/or other heavy industry experience.
  • Technically competent in pressure equipment and/or piping design and analysis.
  • Ideally will be experienced with FEA and/or CFD.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience.
  • Proven conceptual understanding of what is required to meet clients needs.
  • A willingness to guide and mentor staff towards achieving quality and practical solutions.
  • Experience in full project lifecycle delivery.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • 7+ years’ experience in similar roles.
